GUIDES

During my travels, I have hired several guides who have helped me greatly in locating rarer species. I include their websites below as a recommendation of the birding services they provided!

CAMBODIA

CAMBODIA TRAVEL TRAIL
Hired for a single day to visit Prek Toal as a combined birding/cultural trip to the floating village. Best price I found for the trip, proved very knowledgeable and friendly and would highly recommend.
Highlight species: Lesser Adjutant, Spot-billed Pelican, Painted Stork, Asian Openbill, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Oriental Darter

CAMBODIA BIRD GUIDE ASSOCIATION
Hired for a single two part day - a morning at the Florican Grassland Reserve and afternoon at Phnom Kroam. Very meticulous and thorough, with the highest single density of new lifers on a single day of my life to this point. Service included restaurant lunch, local guide assistants and in depth discussion of plan focus to get most out of the day.
Highlight species: Bengal Florican, Woolly-necked Stork, Indochinese Roller, Oriental Pratincole. Pheasant-tailed and Bronze-winged Jacana, Pied Harrier, Pied Kingfisher

SPAIN

BIRDING, TREKKING AND NATURE
Hired on two different trips to Spain for three days total; the first a half-day trip to Madrid area Steppe, on the second trip, one full day to Monfrague National Park and one full day to Steppe and Wetland Habitats. The best prices I found for the area, knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic.
Highlight species: Great and Little Bustard, Black, Eurasian Griffon and Egyptian Vultures, Spanish Imperial, Booted, Golden and Bonelli's Eagles, White-headed Duck

USA

A full day pelagic from Half-moon Bay, Alvaro's Pelagics were the best value Pelagic we could find in the area and came recommended to us by several other people. Multiple experts were on board to provide info and act as spotters.
Highlight species: Rhinoceros auklet, Tufted Puffin, Cassin's Auklet, Marbled Murrlet, Black-footed Albatross, Pink-footed Shearwater, Ashy Storm Petrel, Black Storm Petrel, Humpback Whale
