Striated Grassbird (Megalurus palustris)

Latin Etymology: Megalurus ("great tailed") palustris ("marshy")

NO UK STATUS IUCN Red List: Least Concern

Perhaps the name was a bit distracting at the time, but I didn't click until later that this species was a relation of the grasshopper warbler.  In retrospect, this makes sense - it shares a similar shape and plumage pattern to the species I've seen although considerably larger.
