A widespread parrot found from just South of the US Mexican border to Venezuela and Ecuador. It was experienced exploitation for the pet trade, but conversely is able to adapt to human habited areas fairly well. They may be one of the longest lived of all bird species with claims of individuals having reached 80 years.
