American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos)

With a range centred around the American Crow fills much the same niche as the Carrion and Hooded Crow do in Europe. It's range is centred on the US and Southern Canada, also reaching into Northern Mexico. Interestingly, in the Bay Area it shares much of it's range with Common Raven, which in Europe is generally a species that favours more remote areas.
