The Zebra Goby is the sole member of it's genus, and a typical goby of the Mediterranena, where it is found primarily on the European coast, along with sections of Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.  The individuals we saw were behaving as typical intertidal species, and lurking in the rockpools near Capo Murro di Porco in Sicily.
