An endemic of Talamancan Montane Forest, associated with oak forests, and only found in small highland pockets in Costa Rica and Panama. It superficially resembles a Eurasian Blackbird, although with a notably pale iris. It's main prey is insects and spiders, although as with most thrushes will also eat small fruits.
